Ali and Abbi talking to baby Brynn Harper. They are so sweet. Their mom, Jimmieanne was taking our Christmas pictures tonight. :)
Dear loved ones,
As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements, TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer. It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year some people think of me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration. Remember last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods, pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, do you want to know something? I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor and they didn't remember to send me an invitation. The party was for me, but when that great day came, I was left outside, they closed the door in my face...and I wanted to be with them and share their table. In truth, that didn't surprise me because in the last few years all close their doors to me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. They were all drinking; there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything. They were having a grand time. To top it all, this big man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling Ho-Ho-Ho! He seemed drunk. He sat on the sofa and all the children ran to him, saying: "Santa Clause, Santa Clause"...as if the party were in his honor! At midnight all the people began to hug each other. I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug me and, do you know, no one hugged me. Suddenly they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if maybe, there was one for me. What would you feel like if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you did not get one? I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left. Every year it gets worse. People only remember to eat and drink, the gifts, the parties and nobody remembers me. I would like this Christmas for you to allow me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, I only want you to believe this with all your heart. I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular party. I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invite, will be left outside. Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great party. See you soon. I Love you! Jesus
We went to see Just Like Heaven tonight. It was great, I loved it! I really like Reese Witherspoon too. I realized something about myself tonight. People really piss me off when we go to the movies. I think they always have, I just really notice it now. I caught myself thinking of my last movie experience tonight before we decided to go. We usually try to sit in the middle of the isle, close to the top. Which is what we did last time, when we saw 40 y.o. virgin. Not only did a few people talk through the movie, cell phones rang. Hello people!!!!! Turn them off, vibrate works just fine!!! This one lady had a loud annoying laugh. (we will let that one slide, the movie was funny) Then----there were 2 girls sitting behind us, one of them started tapping her foot. She kept doing it, louder and louder. I even turned and looked at her, like "could you stop tapping your foot?" She kept doing it. I looked over at Aaron and told him I was just about to loose it. I wanted to pour my drink on her, I was so pissed and she knew it. That's when the newly found mothering skills took over. I calmly told myself she was immature, and to let it go. I did it, I ignored her foot tapping for the rest of the movie! I do have patience too, I promise. (She tapped for a long time) So, tonight we sat at the very top. No one could sit behind us and bump our chair. (that's another story) No one could tap their feet behind us. No cell phones rang... About half way through the movie, this young girl with her parents seemed to be getting bored. She was sitting 5 seats down from me. She starts bouncing back and forth in her chair and huffing and puffing. She is just so bored. No big deal right? I get bored easily too, that's why I notice all of these annoying things people do!!!! Well, her chair squeaked really loudly every time she bounced!!!!!!!! Oh, I wanted to scream. I thought to myself, "it is just not meant for me to enjoy a whole movie." I ended up ignoring her too eventually, and crying over the movie. It was such a good movie. I think this is why I like to rent movies at home!!!

Tonight after Thanksgiving dinner. It was wonderful. :) Brynn Harper is growing! ;)
We are staying home for Thanksgiving this year. I will be making my first turkey...I can't wait! Aaron's sister and family are coming to eat with us. Today was my last day at work. It was fine, I am glad it is over. My boss said some very rude things to me yesterday and I was debating on even coming today. But I did, and I never have to go back again. I will really miss all of the girls I work with. They were great, we always had so much fun. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful for so much this year. :)
I love fruit and have been eating a lot of it lately. I try to keep it here so I don't eat any junk. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to have some chocolate ice cream. :) I have always washed my fruit and vegetables with soap before I serve/eat them. I have always wondered if anyone else did this. I have not seen a lot of other people do it. My mom was here last week and I told her why I did it. For her to say, "I have never thought of it like that," I knew it was a great idea! Because my mom knows everything about cooking and preparing food. She is mom, she knows it all. :) So I tell my mother why I do this. First of all, people touch and sneeze and breathe on the fruit all day long. When you wash your hands, don't you use soap? I do most of my grocery shopping at our super Wal-mart, it is just easier because I always need a non-food item. I shop at Kroger when I only need food, I love Kroger! While shopping in Wal-mart one day, (Jennifer may have been with me) I noticed there were birds in the store. They had nets up to catch the birds...right above all of the produce. (I am sure this is where the birds spend most of their time) I already washed my fruit with soap...this justified my craziness! When the store isn't that busy, I am sure the birds that didn't fly through the net, fly down and grab a bite. This just grosses me out!! Birds have diseases!!! Wash your fruit and vegetables with soap!! It isn't gross, just rinse until the soap is gone. I bet you all look at the ceiling when you shop for produce now... :)
2 1/2 more days of work for me and I don't know what I am going to do with myself! I do know this...our cats are driving me crazy. I wish they could go away for 5 months and then come back. I love them so much. I have always been an animal lover...these cats don't even know they are cats. I guess they just get on my nerves sometimes. We get Brynn Harper's baby bed set up, we have to put a quilt over it. We get her pack and play put together, we have to put a quilt over it. (Aaron put it all together, actually) :) Instead of "baby proofing" the house, we have to "cat proof" it. I am sure I could let them stay at my dad's until we are ready for them. Then I would be up here lonely and bored, worried about them. I have given him cats before I couldn't keep, so I have to takeresponsibility for these! I guess writing about this helped. Problem solved: keep cats, continue to "cat proof" the house, love them because they don't understand what is going on around here. Okay, I feel better.
Note to self: Pay attention to how people spell certain names in their post. So when I comment, I spell the names correctly. Oh yes, spell check and proof read my post before publishing. And, tell everyone my mom updated her blog! (Pseudo euphoric paradise) You people and your tagboard pop-ups are driving me nuts! :) Have a great weekend y'all!

I work 2 1/2 days next week, but we are moving into a new office and won't be seeing patients. I love pictures, so I had to get some of one of the few jobs I have loved. :)
Today was my last day to work on patients...this girl was a sweetheart. I will really miss my job.

Jennifer, Holly, me, Dr. Cartillar, Jimmieanne, Brandi and Cathryn. Girls I work with that hosted my shower...it was lovely! :)
My cake from the baby shower yesterday...it was so good!!!!!!!! Isn't it just precious?!! I put the little booties in the freezer.
Jennifer and I before my baby shower yesterday. :)
It has been a crazy, but tolerable week. I have been so tired lately. I will be relieved when I can sleep in and take naps. (2 more weeks!!:)
Why is it that on my way home from work, I think of the best things to post. When I get home...BAM! They are gone. I am going to sit here until I fall asleep and try to remember what my thoughts were...
Gotta love pregnancy brain!! Okay, I will start taking notes. Y'all have a great day. :)
This photo is a little tacky, but I don't feel like taking another. I like to keep my close friends and family updated on the pregnancy. Hope I don't gross the rest of you out in the mean time... My hand is so veiny! These are the best sleeping pants in the world! :)
I am getting more and more tired at work. My last day is Nov. 23. A few words of advice-- If you are planning on leaving a job, don't give a 3 month notice. Yes, yes I know...Duh! At the time, I was so happy about being pregnant that I spoke too soon. I don't just mean a 3 month maternity leave, I mean for good. My boss even told me, "I wish you wouldn't have told me the truth." This is the first time in my life I have been punished for telling the truth. Let me tell you, it has not been fun. I have really learned a lesson. I ask myself every day, what were you thinking? That's just it, I wasn't.
I made tacos tonight for supper. The funny thing is, it was the first time I have ever made them. Tacos are just something I have never thought about making. They were so easy and tasty, I will have to make them again. :)
My first baby shower is coming up, here in town. I am really getting excited! She has really started to make some different movements in there. This has been the most amazing experience I have ever had. I can't wait for the day when she is born. I pray every night that everything will be okay. I hope that it isn't snowing when she is born so everyone that wants to come, can. I can only imagine what other exciting experiences I am in for. And pain of course, but I am ready for that. Have a great weekend. :)
